"Ozone Care & Ability was born from personal experience."
In 2020, when COVID arrived, Ammar’s mum suffered a serious brain haemorrhage that changed her life overnight. She lost control of one side of her body and became eligible for the NDIS.
But we had no idea where to start.
We didn’t know who to contact, how the NDIS worked, which services to choose, or how to navigate the system. With two young girls and a completely new world to manage, we made mistakes, faced difficult decisions and learned many lessons along the way. Friends and family helped us through, but the journey was still incredibly challenging.
Since then, Ammar has continued as his mum’s NDIS Plan Nominee and has also provided hands-on support — helping with feeding, showering, personal care, daily activities and the many things a support worker does.
Over the years, he has worked with NDIS teams, support coordinators, support providers and allied health professionals, learning how the system works from every angle.
We’ve seen the NDIS from the participant’s side.
We understand the confusion, the challenges and the importance of having the right people around you. That experience is why we started Ozone Care & Ability.
Our goal is simple: to make sure no participant or family has to feel as lost as we did in 2020. 💜
